The Magic Valley Kidney Institute has been established in Twin Falls, ID to help provide cutting edge and total nephrology care to the population of Twin Falls county and surrounding area of southern Idaho. This practice consists of two Board Certified Nephrologists, Dr. Haroon Rashid and Dr. Lubna Rashid.
Dr. Haroon Rashid has been practicing nephrology in New Jersey for 10 years. He graduated in the top 10% of his medical school class from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ (Robert Wood Johnson Medical School) through a combined, seven-year Bachelors and MD program. Subsequently, he completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and then went on to complete his Nephrology fellowship at the prestigious New York University-Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY. Since his graduation he has been an active partner in a very busy private practice in Northern New Jersey.
Dr. Lubna Rashid has also been practicing nephrology for over two years in New Jersey in a separate private practice. She graduated in the top 5% of her medical school class and then went on to attend the Internal Medicine Residency training program at the esteemed St. Luke’s-Columbia Presbyterian University Medical Center. While there, she was selected to the highly competitive nephrology fellowship program which she completed and subsequently started private practice.
Combined, the two doctors have over 20 years of experience in nephrology patient care. Their specialty includes chronic kidney disease, hypertension, kidney stone disease, end stage renal disease, dialysis (both hemo and peritoneal types), CVVH/CRRT, electrolyte disorders, and renal transplant.
